Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses for health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic planning
- Manage cross-agency collaborations with healthcare providers, community organizations, and state health departments
- Oversee grant applications and ensure compliance with federal/state public health regulations
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote health education and preventive care
- Supervise public health staff and program evaluation processes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential preferred
- Expertise in epidemiological analysis and health data interpretation
- Proven experience managing federal/state public health grants
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Illinois public health statutes
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement
