Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive health data analysis frameworks to identify emerging public health trends
- Collaborate with state agencies to develop evidence-based health policies and intervention programs
- Lead cross-functional teams in conducting epidemiological studies and health impact assessments
- Present complex health data to policymakers, stakeholders, and the public through compelling visualizations
- Oversee compliance with federal health regulations (CDC, HHS) and state-specific reporting requirements
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate interdepartmental health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government or public health sector data analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record of developing health policy recommendations based on quantitative analysis
- Valid Ohio driver's license and ability to travel statewide for fieldwork
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent professional certification preferred
- Experience with Ohio health information systems (e.g., ODH Data Warehouse)
