Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting disease prevention and health equity
- Oversee budget management and resource allocation for health initiatives serving diverse communities
- Collaborate with state/federal agencies to ensure compliance with public health regulations
- Lead crisis response coordination for public health emergencies
- Manage staff teams and foster cross-departmental partnerships
- Analyze health data trends to inform strategic planning and policy recommendations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in public health leadership
- Expertise in health program development and evaluation methodologies
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Illinois public health laws
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Illinois Public Health Administrator certification preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for community engagement and policy advocacy
