Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Oversee grant management, budget allocation, and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives for emergency preparedness and response
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform policy decisions
- Manage community partnerships with healthcare providers, NGOs, and local leaders
- Supervise health education teams and program evaluation activities
- Represent the department at public forums and legislative hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in public health program management
- Valid Michigan Public Health Administrator certification
- Proven expertise in health equity initiatives and community engagement
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics and public health reporting tools
- Demonstrated ability to secure and manage federal/state grants
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and CDC guidelines
