Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee implementation of public health programs addressing chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Manage emergency response protocols for health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy decisions
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and community organizations to deliver health education initiatives
- Supervise departmental staff and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Prepare and manage grant funding for public health initiatives
- Represent the county at public health forums and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in public health administration
- Valid Kentucky Public Health Administrator certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proven experience managing grant-funded programs and budgets over $500K
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and HIPAA compliance requirements
- Excellent data analysis skills with proficiency in health information systems
- Exceptional leadership abilities with demonstrated team management experience
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
