Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive public health strategies aligned with county priorities and CDC guidelines
- Lead inter-agency response teams during public health emergencies and disease outbreaks
- Manage grant-funded programs totaling $2M+ for vaccination initiatives and health education
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health risks and inform policy decisions
- Supervise 15+ staff across clinical, research, and community outreach divisions
- Represent the county at state health board meetings and stakeholder coalitions
- Oversee budget allocation for public health infrastructure and preventive services
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in public health leadership or program management
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Proven expertise in emergency preparedness and crisis communication protocols
- Advanced data analytics skills with experience in health informatics systems
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel countywide
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state grants for health initiatives
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly desirable
