Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health intervention programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze disease surveillance data to identify emerging health threats
- Coordinate with CDC and state health agencies for compliance with federal regulations
- Develop culturally competent health education materials for Spanish/English communities
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure proper allocation of resources
- Lead crisis response teams during public health emergencies
- Advise city officials on evidence-based health policy decisions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years experience in government or non-profit public health roles
- Proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish (required)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent
- Experience with federal grant reporting (HRSA, CDC)
- Knowledge of Texas Department of State Health Services protocols
- Valid Texas driver's license
