Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and inform policy decisions
- Manage grant-funded programs focused on disease prevention and health equity
- Oversee cross-departmental initiatives addressing social determinants of health
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local health agencies for compliance
- Lead community outreach campaigns to increase health literacy and access
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and public health board meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in government/public health administration
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in emergency management and crisis communication protocols
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-million dollar health programs
- Experience with Chicago's public health system preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license required
