Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health programs aligned with CDC and Texas DSHS guidelines
- Manage grant funding from federal agencies including HRSA and SAMHSA
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives with state health authorities
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations
- Oversee community outreach initiatives targeting underserved populations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and other federal regulations
- Supervise staff and manage departmental budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in government/public health administration
- Proficiency in federal grant writing and compliance reporting
- Knowledge of Texas public health code and local ordinances
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred
- US citizenship required for federal program access
