Responsibilities
- Analyze population health data using SQL, R, and GIS tools to identify emerging health trends
- Develop evidence-based public health policies in collaboration with city officials
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for communicable disease outbreaks
- Lead community health assessment projects across 15+ Kansas City neighborhoods
- Manage federal grant applications and compliance reporting (CDC/HHS)
- Train healthcare providers on updated public health protocols
- Publish quarterly health impact reports for public transparency
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit health programs
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS/SAS) and data visualization
- Valid Missouri Public Health Certification (CPH) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant management and compliance
- Excellent written communication skills for policy briefs and public reports
- Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, and MO Sunshine Law regulations
