Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and emerging threats in Duval County
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state health officials and community stakeholders
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers to ensure program alignment and resource optimization
- Monitor compliance with Florida Health Statutes and CDC guidelines
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $500,000
- Present findings to public health advisory boards and community forums
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program analysis or healthcare data management
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping tools
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Experience with CDC surveillance systems and Florida CHARTS database
- Knowledge of Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid compliance requirements
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) credential highly desirable
- Experience managing community health initiatives in underserved populations
