Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce public health codes across commercial establishments
- Conduct routine inspections of food service facilities and public venues
- Investigate health code violations and issue corrective action plans
- Collaborate with emergency response teams during public health crises
- Develop educational materials for businesses and community organizations
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and maintain regulatory documentation
- Testify in administrative hearings regarding enforcement actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of regulatory compliance experience
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) credential preferred
- Strong knowledge of Nebraska state health regulations
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory documents
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
- Experience with public health data management systems
