Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health datasets to identify emerging public health trends and disparities
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for health program monitoring
- Support epidemiological investigations and outbreak response initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders including city officials and community partners
- Design and implement data collection systems to improve public health surveillance
- Collaborate with community organizations to ensure culturally competent data interpretation
- Stay current on public health data standards and emerging analytical methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in health data analysis using SQL and R/Python
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software
- Demonstrated experience with public health surveillance systems and EHR data
- Strong understanding of health equity frameworks and social determinants of health
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a government environment
