Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response during public health crises
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols for border communities
- Manage federal/state grant funding for health emergency programs
- Conduct risk assessments for vulnerable populations
- Train staff and community partners on emergency procedures
- Prepare after-action reports and improvement strategies
- Liaise with CDC, DHS, and state health departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required
- Experience with FEMA NIMS/ICS protocols
- Strong grant management and budgeting skills
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergency activations
- Valid Texas driver's license
