Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for natural disasters and disease outbreaks
- Manage resource allocation and logistics for emergency response teams
- Conduct rapid needs assessments during public health emergencies
- Train local health officials on emergency protocols and procedures
- Prepare incident reports and maintain compliance with state/federal regulations
- Liaise with federal partners (FEMA, CDC) during disaster declarations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health or emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300)
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergencies with on-call rotation
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and emergency management software
- Strong communication skills for multi-agency coordination
- Spanish bilingual preferred for community outreach
