Responsibilities
- Develop and implement county-wide emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate with FEMA, CDC, and local healthcare providers during incidents
- Lead rapid deployment of resources during public health emergencies
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for Charlotte communities
- Manage public communications during crisis situations
- Train county staff on emergency response procedures
- Prepare grant applications and manage federal funding allocations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300)
- Experience managing federal grants (FEMA, CDC)
- Proven ability to lead multi-agency coalitions
- Strong crisis communication skills
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
