Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement crisis communication protocols for diverse communities
- Lead tabletop exercises and field drills for pandemic/natural disaster scenarios
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform resource allocation and intervention strategies
- Collaborate with California state agencies on cross-border health emergency protocols
- Manage grant-funded emergency response programs and reporting requirements
- Train public health staff and community responders in crisis management best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in government/public health emergency response
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification required
- Proven expertise in crisis communication and multi-agency coordination
- Advanced data analysis skills with emergency management software (e.g., EMTrack)
- Ability to obtain FEMA Incident Command System certifications within 90 days
- Experience managing federal/state grant-funded programs
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
