Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health intervention programs targeting underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies (CDC, DSHS) on grant-funded health initiatives
- Lead community outreach campaigns to promote preventive health services
- Develop quantitative reports for city council and stakeholder presentations
- Supervise junior analysts and cross-functional health project teams
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and public health reporting regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government/public health administration
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with federal grant reporting (HRSA, CDC) and compliance
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish (required)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of Texas Public Health Code and local health ordinances
