Responsibilities
- Coordinate county-wide emergency response plans for natural disasters, pandemics, and biosecurity threats
- Lead multi-agency task forces including FEMA, CDC, and state health department partnerships
- Develop and execute public risk communication strategies during crisis events
- Manage emergency supply chains and vaccination distribution networks
- Train community responders and healthcare providers in crisis protocols
- Analyze epidemiological data to predict and mitigate emerging health threats
- Oversee post-incident recovery operations and program evaluations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation required
- Expertise in Incident Command System (ICS) and NIMS protocols
- Strong statistical analysis skills with emergency data visualization experience
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-jurisdictional response teams
- Florida driver's license with clean record
- Spanish fluency highly desirable
