Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response plans for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster preparedness initiatives including FEMA and state partnerships
- Lead community outreach and education campaigns for pandemic preparedness
- Manage rapid deployment of public health resources during emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform strategic response decisions
- Train county staff on emergency protocols and communication procedures
- Secure grant funding and manage emergency response budgets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300/400)
- Proven crisis communication and multi-agency coordination skills
- Advanced knowledge of federal/state emergency management frameworks
- Experience with public health data analytics and reporting tools
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and ability to work extended hours during emergencies
