Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness protocols for infectious disease outbreaks
- Lead resource deployment strategies for vaccination campaigns and medical supplies
- Collaborate with local health departments, hospitals, and community organizations
- Conduct risk assessments for vulnerable populations in high-risk areas
- Prepare and submit emergency response reports to state leadership
- Train public health staff on emergency response procedures
- Monitor emerging health threats and recommend proactive measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response
- Experience with FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) protocols
- Certification in Emergency Management (CEM or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of public health crisis communication strategies
- Ability to work under pressure during high-stakes emergencies
- Proficiency in emergency response software and data analysis tools
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
