Responsibilities
- Develop and execute emergency response plans for public health crises including pandemics, natural disasters, and bioterrorism incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency collaborations with federal, state, and local emergency management partners
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for high-impact public health scenarios
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation during crisis situations
- Train public health staff and community partners on emergency protocols and response procedures
- Prepare and submit required federal/state compliance reports and after-action documentation
- Leverage GIS technology for real-time situational awareness and resource deployment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) certification or equivalent emergency management credentials
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in emergency management software (e.g., WebEOC, EMTrack) and GIS platforms
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-jurisdictional response efforts
- Experience developing public health communication strategies for crisis situations
- Must pass federal background check and obtain security clearance if required
