Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations during public health crises (outbreaks, natural disasters, bioterrorism)
- Develop and implement rapid-action protocols for disease surveillance and containment
- Liaise with local health departments, hospitals, and federal agencies (CDC/FEMA)
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform strategic public health interventions
- Train healthcare workers and emergency responders on crisis management procedures
- Manage grant-funded emergency response programs and budget allocations
- Prepare crisis communication materials for public dissemination
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS-300) and NIMS protocols
- Expertise in epidemiological data analysis and health surveillance systems
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-agency responses during high-pressure situations
- Strong knowledge of Indiana public health laws and federal regulations
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record
