Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response drills and real-time incident management
- Analyze epidemiological data to predict outbreak trajectories and resource needs
- Train community stakeholders and healthcare workers in emergency preparedness
- Manage federal grant budgets and reporting for public health initiatives
- Lead public risk communication during emergencies
- Conduct post-incident reviews and update response frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years' experience in public health emergency response or disaster management
- FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) certification required
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and epidemiological software
- Demonstrated crisis communication skills
- Ability to work 24/7 during public health emergencies
- Valid Kansas driver's license
- US citizenship required for federal compliance
