Responsibilities
- Conduct weekend inspections of food establishments, childcare facilities, and public swimming pools

- Educate business owners on health code compliance requirements
- Participate in weekend public health outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- Illinois Department of Public Health sanitarian certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 2 years environmental health inspection experience
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean record
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Experience with digital inspection reporting systems
