We're seeking a dynamic Public Health Policy Analyst to develop evidence-based strategies addressing health equity, pandemic preparedness, and social determinants of health. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with city officials, community leaders, and state agencies to implement impactful public health initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data and research to inform public health policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate health equity initiatives for underserved populations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement public health programs
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and reports for city council presentations
- Manage grant-funded projects related to chronic disease prevention
- Conduct community needs assessments and stakeholder engagement
- Monitor federal/state health policy changes and assess local impact
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R)
- Experience with community-based participatory research methods
- Knowledge of Minnesota public health regulations and frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
