Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to inform policy recommendations for state-wide initiatives
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based health policy proposals aligned with NC strategic goals
- Collaborate with legislative bodies, community stakeholders, and federal agencies
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for public hearings
- Monitor implementation of public health legislation and assess outcomes
- Manage cross-functional projects addressing health equity and access issues
- Stay current on emerging public health trends and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in health policy analysis or government affairs
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis and statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Proficient in policy development frameworks and government regulatory processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and community outreach
- Knowledge of NC public health systems and Medicaid programs preferred
- Valid NC driver's license required for travel to state facilities
