We're seeking a dynamic Senior Policy Analyst to lead evidence-based initiatives addressing health equity, infectious disease prevention, and community wellness programs. This senior role collaborates with cross-functional teams, advises elected officials, and drives measurable improvements in public health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate comprehensive public health policies aligned with CDC guidelines and local needs
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and recommend interventions
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community partners, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and legislative recommendations for County Commission review
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on health disparities and social determinants of health
- Oversee implementation of public health emergency response protocols
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate interdepartmental health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in government public health policy development
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and data-driven policy analysis
- Proven ability to navigate complex government procurement and grant processes
- Strong proficiency in quantitative data analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Experience with Georgia's public health regulations and healthcare systems
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with policy audiences
- Valid Georgia driver's license and ability to work flexible hours
