Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policy recommendations aligned with CDC guidelines and municipal priorities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging public health threats and opportunities
- Coordinate interdepartmental health initiatives with Parks & Recreation, Emergency Services, and Education
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for City Council and Health Advisory Board presentations
- Manage grant-funded health programs with $2M+ annual budgets
- Conduct community health needs assessments through stakeholder engagement
- Monitor compliance with state/federal health regulations (HIPAA, ACA)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit sectors
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping
- Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and social determinants of health
- Demonstrated success in presenting complex data to non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of Colorado Revised Statutes Title 25 (Health & Environment)
- CHES or CPH certification preferred
