Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to inform policy recommendations for diverse communities
- Develop and evaluate health equity initiatives targeting underserved populations
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and presentations for legislative review
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Monitor federal/state legislation and assess impact on local health programs
- Mentor junior staff on public health policy research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or healthcare
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, or SPSS)
- Demonstrated experience with health equity frameworks and community engagement
- Strong written communication skills with published policy reports
- Valid California driver's license for field visits
- Knowledge of CA Health and Safety Code Title 25
