Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health policies aligned with CDC and Florida DOH guidelines
- Analyze health data to identify emerging community health trends and disparities
- Coordinate inter-agency initiatives with local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for county commissioners
- Manage grant-funded programs focused on health equity and access to care
- Represent the department in public forums and stakeholder meetings
- Monitor legislative changes affecting public health operations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government health policy or program management
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Strong understanding of federal/state healthcare regulations (ACA, Medicaid)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Experience with community health assessment methodologies
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
