Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local health agencies on disease prevention initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic planning
- Manage program budgets and ensure compliance with state/funding requirements
- Develop educational materials and lead community outreach campaigns
- Supervise cross-functional teams and coordinate stakeholder engagement
- Prepare reports for legislative bodies and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health program management
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS/R/Excel
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state funding processes
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Knowledge of Louisiana public health regulations and policies
- Ability to work effectively in emergency response situations
