Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to develop evidence-based health policies
- Manage program budgets and secure grant funding for community health initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and intervention priorities
- Lead community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and public health board presentations
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate volunteer programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of program management experience in government/nonprofit setting
- Proven expertise in health disparity analysis and community-based interventions
- Strong budget management and grant writing capabilities
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of local public health regulations and CalPERS benefits systems
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
