We're seeking a dedicated Public Health Program Manager to lead initiatives addressing health equity, disease prevention, and emergency response in Maryland's largest city. This pivotal role combines policy development, community engagement, and data-driven decision-making to transform Baltimore's health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting Baltimore's underserved populations
- Manage cross-functional teams of epidemiologists, outreach specialists, and data analysts
- Oversee $1M+ grant budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Analyze health data to identify emerging threats and recommend intervention strategies
- Collaborate with city officials and community leaders to address health disparities
- Lead emergency response coordination during public health crises
- Prepare detailed reports for city council and state health department stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health program management experience
- Proven track record in grant writing and federal compliance (HRSA/CDC)
- Advanced data analysis skills (SPSS, SAS, or R) with health data visualization experience
- Valid Maryland driver's license and ability to travel across city neighborhoods
- CHES or CPH certification preferred
- Experience working with Baltimore's diverse communities strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Maryland public health codes and Title VI requirements
