Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and maternal health
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response initiatives for border health emergencies
- Manage $1.2M annual budget and oversee 12-person field team
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and resource allocation
- Forge strategic partnerships with local hospitals, universities, and community organizations
- Prepare federal grant applications and ensure compliance with HIPAA/PHI regulations
- Lead community outreach campaigns reaching diverse populations across El Paso County
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years experience in public program management with state/local government
- Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to travel to remote border communities
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish (written and verbal)
- Expertise in epidemiological software (e.g., Epi Info, SAS) and data visualization
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible within 6 months
- Proven track record of securing federal/state grants ($500k+)
- Experience with emergency management protocols (NIMS/ICS certified)
