Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data and trends to inform public health interventions
- Develop evidence-based health policy recommendations for state and local partners
- Coordinate cross-agency health emergency response protocols
- Manage grant-funded community health improvement projects
- Present findings to legislative bodies and community stakeholders
- Oversee data collection systems and quality assurance processes
- Mentor junior staff and interns in public health methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in state/local public health programs
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with health equity initiatives
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work
