Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health interventions for diverse communities
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities across state agencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and trends
- Collaborate with local health departments on vaccination and disease prevention programs
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote health literacy and access
- Prepare detailed reports for policymakers and public health stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with federal and state public health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of public health program implementation experience
- Valid Texas Public Health Professional certification (or eligible)
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Proven crisis management and emergency response coordination skills
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance reporting
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license
