Responsibilities
- Design and execute evidence-based public health intervention programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Collaborate with local health departments, community organizations, and healthcare providers to coordinate outreach initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data and prepare comprehensive reports for program evaluation and grant reporting
- Develop educational materials and lead community workshops on health topics including immunization and maternal health
- Monitor program budgets and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Represent the agency in stakeholder meetings and advocate for public health policy improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Education, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation or community health coordination
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and health information systems
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential preferred
- Experience managing federal/state grant-funded programs
