Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and inform strategic interventions
- Led community health education initiatives on chronic disease prevention
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on grant-funded health projects
- Monitor compliance with state and federal public health regulations
- Prepare detailed reports for city council and public health stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health administration
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R)
- Experience with grant writing and federal compliance (HRSA, CDC)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish strongly preferred
