Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community health assessment plans targeting Jacksonville's diverse populations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health threats and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and prioritize intervention strategies
- Manage grant-funded programs focused on maternal health and chronic disease prevention
- Lead stakeholder engagement with local government officials, healthcare providers, and community leaders
- Prepare detailed reports and policy recommendations for state health department leadership
- Supervise public health outreach initiatives across Jacksonville's urban and underserved areas
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in state/local government public health programs
- Advanced knowledge of CDC guidelines and Florida public health statutes
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
