Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health education campaigns targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and risks
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and non-profits to coordinate response efforts
- Develop grant proposals and manage program budgets for health initiatives
- Conduct community health assessments and prepare comprehensive reports
- Represent the city in public health coalitions and interagency committees
- Monitor compliance with state and federal public health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid New Mexico Public Health Practitioner certification preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with grant writing and budget management
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health confidentiality laws
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish highly desirable
