Responsibilities
- Design and implement community health programs targeting infectious disease prevention and chronic disease management
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform strategic responses
- Coordinate crisis management during public health emergencies including vaccination campaigns
- Develop educational materials and lead community outreach initiatives underserved neighborhoods
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits to integrate health services
- Monitor compliance with federal/state health regulations and reporting requirements
- Secure grant funding and manage program budgets for public health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health program implementation or policy development
- Valid Michigan Public Health Professional certification
- Advanced proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and budget management
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and Michigan Public Health Code
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
