Responsibilities
- Design and execute evidence-based public health initiatives targeting disease prevention and health education
- Conduct community health assessments to identify emerging health priorities and disparities
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses and public health crisis management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to secure funding and resources for health programs
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations and intervention strategies
- Develop health communication materials for diverse audiences
- Represent the county in public health coalitions and interagency partnerships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of public health program implementation experience
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal public health regulations
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) highly valued
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience with grant writing and program evaluation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
