Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis to identify health trends
- Coordinate emergency preparedness response protocols for public health threats
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve access to preventive care services
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
- Advise county officials on public health policy and resource allocation
- Represent the department in community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience developing culturally competent health interventions
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Valid Illinois driver's license with reliable transportation
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or other relevant languages preferred
