Responsibilities
- Develop and implement disease surveillance programs for Tampa residents
- Coordinate emergency response activities during public health crises
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and risks
- Design and deliver community health education workshops
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers on outbreak prevention
- Manage public health grant reporting and compliance
- Lead vaccination outreach initiatives underserved neighborhoods
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health roles
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Strong statistical analysis skills with SPSS/R proficiency
- Experience with emergency response protocols (NIMS/ICS)
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills highly desirable
- Knowledge of Tampa's public health landscape
