Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable communities
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and manage disease surveillance systems
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Analyze health data to identify trends and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Provide technical guidance to local health departments and community partners
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote preventive health measures
- Prepare grant proposals and manage federal/state funding allocations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Texas Public Health Professional certification preferred
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience with emergency preparedness and response protocols
- Strong communication skills with bilingual capabilities in Spanish/English
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and public health regulations
