Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Coordinate emergency response initiatives for natural disasters and public health threats
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy decisions
- Conduct community outreach and education programs on health topics
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Prepare grant proposals and manage program budgets
- Monitor compliance with federal/state public health regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS/STATA
- Experience with emergency preparedness planning
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours during emergencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
