Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data to identify emerging public health threats
- Coordinate with community partners to address social determinants of health
- Prepare comprehensive reports for local government and state health agencies
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on chronic disease prevention
- Lead emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS or SAS
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal health regulations
