Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Coordinate cross-sector collaborations with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Conduct health needs assessments and program evaluations
- Represent the department in public health forums and stakeholder meetings
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid New Mexico Public Health Practitioner certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and management
- Strong bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
- Knowledge of Title X, Medicaid, and ACA programs
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
