Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and maternal/child health
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and recommend targeted interventions
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health threats including infectious disease outbreaks
- Lead community outreach initiatives in partnership with local organizations and healthcare providers
- Prepare grant proposals and manage budgets for federally funded health initiatives
- Train frontline staff on public health best practices and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with interagency task forces to address social determinants of health
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit public health program management
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS) and health data visualization
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Demonstrated success in developing health equity frameworks for diverse urban populations
- Expertise in CDC guidelines and federal public health emergency response protocols
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with policy brief experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to community sites citywide
